The competition was divided into two groups – the Primary Section (for P5 and P6 students) and the Secondary Section(for S1 to S3 students), the participants came from schools in the districts of Tin Shui Wai, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long.

In the competition, all participants were well-prepared in which their outstanding performance made it hard for the adjudicators to determine the winner. Finally, Wong Yuk Fong (Taoist Ching Chung Primary School) of the Primary Section and Betty Chan (STFA Tam Pak Yu College) of the Secondary Section greatly impressed the adjudicators with their confidence, gesture and good interaction with audiences and finally won the Champion in the competition.

On the other hand, a student workshop was held to enhance students’ English speaking and presentation skills. It has been our honor that Mr. Pavol Dutko (Tutor, EdFun Limited) was able to join us to be the speaker. Throughout the workshop, he provided useful tips and guidelines for students to reinforce their presentation techniques. In order to be a good English speaker, Mr. Dutko said, we could manipulate our voice, gesture and facial expression to draw the audiences’ attention. He also demonstrated with pictures and interactive mini-games to get students involved into the workshop.
